| Welcome Alan Boston!!!
- Great Stud player
- World's best college basketball handicapper
Alan Boston plays online at Full Tilt Poker.
Alan claims not to be well known nationwide, but pros definitely know him for two reasons: Alan's 7-Card Stud game and the fact that he's a tough out in any tournament. Alan has played in the World Series of Poker for more than 10 years and has many top 20 finishes. His best result is a second-place finish in the $2,500 7-Card Stud tourney. In addition, he has two third-place finishes and one fourth place in 7-Card Stud.
2002 was a good year for Alan at the WSOP. That was the year he took home one of those thirds, as well as a fifth-place finish in the Half Stud/Half Hold 'em tournament, and he made two final tables in Limit Omaha and Omaha 8 or Better. In 2004, Alan finished third in the $2,000 HORSE tournament, 11th in the $1,500 7-Card Stud event, and made it into the money in several Limit tourneys.
Alan really enjoys talking about and teaching poker. For many years, Alan earned a living betting college basketball. Many people think he's the foremost handicapper of college hoops, although he would say his recent results would indicate otherwise. But that notwithstanding, this will likely be his last year betting on college ball.
Alan has been featured in ESPN the Magazine and Outside the Lines, as well as in two books: Lessons From Our Fathers, and, most vividly, in Chad Millman's The Odds.
During the summer, you can find Alan in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Source : http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/alanBoston.php Alan's Official Website : http://www.alanboston.com/
